about

Your child was born good.

A creation of Pure Love, it's not until a child starts experiencing the physical distress of hunger and wet diapers that he or she begins to feel bad and reacts to those feelings by crying.

Most moms and dads work very hard to figure out what's making a baby unhappy and to meet baby's needs for relief from discomfort so their baby can be happy again.

A big job that can be stressful, parents can find themselves exhausted and cranky.

Yet, one of the most important things to do for your baby is to take care of yourself so you feel happy.

This may mean reaching out to family and friends for help so you can get enough sleep.

When mom and dad are happy, generous and loving, baby will learn how to be that way, too, despite the challenges of growing up such as getting tired and feeling cranky, falling down and skinning knees, or having to learn responsibility and pick up toys.

This is because children are perfect mimics. They "download" everything we speak, say and do for the first six years of their lives.

So, to have a happy, generous and loving child, stay connected - or reconnect - with your own happiness, generosity and love throughout their childhood.

If you want your child to feel secure, take time every day for affirmative prayer that makes you feel secure and loved.

This prayer reminds you that God is ever present to realign you with the best of what you want to be.

You are love - and how you feel - is the most important factor in raising a child.

Be and feel your best, and your child will follow suit.

Feel good and optimistic your child will learn that optimism and feeling good is the way to live.

Who you are is what you teach your child to be.

Remember that you are a loving, generous, amazing child of God yourself.

So take the time, every day, to affirm that you are "downloading" from God all these beautiful attributes you want strengthened in yourself.

Affirm that these wonderful qualities are in you - that they have always been in you and God is simply teaching you how to realign with them - and allow yourself to feel really good about who you are.

In this way you will teach love and bring out the very best in your child.
