Your home is an extension of yourself. It's a truism that, when your home is cluttered it is an indication that your thoughts are cluttered.

We cannot create the serene and stress-free lives we want when our thoughts are "all over the place."

We need to put our thoughts in order and focus them on what we want, not all the distractions and clutter we do not want.

Amazingly, we can begin to put our thoughts in order by putting our homes in order.

And we can start the momentum to put our homes in order when we start to put our thoughts in order.

There can be no greater gift to yourself and no greater way of taking care of yourself than to gradually weed out the thoughts and distractions and physical clutter that make you feel frantic or ill at ease.

Likewise, to weed out the clutter in your home that wastes your time or distracts you from feeling good is to take care of yourself.

If clutter or an unorganized home is getting you down, work with this prayer every day.

Visualize your home as well-ordered and clutter free.

Close your eyes, imagine yourself lounging in a clutter-free and serene home every day.
