The full title of this prayer is "I Reassure My Beloveds Through Gratitude" and, like the previous prayer, was written to improve family relationships.

Yet training yourself to give thanks to co-workers and employees instead of taking what they do for granted as "simply part of their jobs" is also a great way to improve productivity and office relations.

You may feel an initial reluctance to do this.

You may feel that, because you are not always thanked or given appreciation for the things you do at work or at home, that it's not your job to give appreciation to others.

You may feel it will take too much energy or effort.

And, if you are an hourly worker, you may reason that doing this at work to facilitate increased productivity for the company will not necessarily translate to a raise for you, so there's nothing in it for you.

Yet that's the view of the "small" self, not the Higher Self.

Give appreciation and praise to a person for making an effort at something and the recipient is far more likely to feel positively toward you and give you appreciation back.

Express gratitude and appreciation to someone and that person is likely to try to do more in order to get more appreciation and gratitude from you.

Appreciation is the lubricant of a joyful life.

So train yourself to offer sincere appreciation and gratitude for the things that people do, even if they those things are part of their chore list or job description.

This is the way to create a life you love that is filled with good relationships.
